i’m 25 years old - when does the “bullying” of petty drama and shit stop? I’m an adult. Since when do CHILDREN feel it’s okay to speak to their elders in such a way.

This needs to be said - only because I feel bad for anyone else who may have taken what i tweeted in the wrong way, as displayed below.

A few days ago I was on the bus (yes i’m on tour no not with my satellite or black veil brides - open your mind and keep reading) late night talking to some crew members about politics, then the subject segwayed into a conversation about people in the touring industry (crews not musicians - yes, there’s a lot more that just the band that makes up a tour… shocking) . A CEO that i used to work for had giving up his multinational tour supply company to his drop out-of-school son and he wonders why his business isn’t thriving. So i made a tweet after being annoyed at this news also following the “Nepotism” of the previous subject of politics - Kennedy, Bush etc. and it stated:

Now. I know i leave my formspring open as a punching bag for arrogant fans to have a swing or two at me, which is fine if thats how they feel they wish to spend their given time here on Earth…. I really couldn’t give two shits.

However I was accused of saying something that I didn’t - and I wanted to make that clear. 

This ANON (coward) formspring user decided to jab at me and say the following : 

“Maybe you should stop riding on Jinxx’s coattails before pointing the fingers at people who actually have talent. Your tweet about Nepotism made you sound catty and jealous, we all know who it was directed at” 

I really had no idea who this person could have been talking about until i was able to put my mind into a much smaller place of pettiness and internet-related drama and I realized the only person that I know that has a “famous dad” that the internet is aware of is Brooklyn Allman. 

I wouldn’t usually waste my time clearing rumors but this bothers me because I know she is in the same position I am in. She’s got huge shoes to fill and a large shadow cast over her - same with me. Whatever, I never asked to date someone in a successful band - she never asked to be born to a famous musician. We are PEOPLE and we do as we do, as we love, and thrive in our own way. 

The fact that your worlds are SO SMALL and PETTY that you feel the need to call me out on something that you’re CLEARLY in the wrong about says A LOT for your character, I’m actually ashamed to be associated with such filth. How dare you, anonymous coward you know who you are. Shame on you for also thinking so negatively about both Miss Allman and I… your mind was filthy enough to think it - so in a way you must believe it yourself.

I’ll follow up with: 

There is a way of dealing with things correctly -  

1. If you have a problem - don’t be anonymous. Say what you mean and mean what you say.

 

2. If you feel something is out of context of you feel something that someone said is rude - confront them and tell them how you feel (as yourself NOT anonymously) for example, this situation could have been handled like: “Hey Sammi, It’s (your name) I may have read your tweet from the other night about nepotism the wrong way - i was wondering if you meant that about brooklyn all man because if you did then i think thats wrong ….etc”
 

in which i would have replied:
 

“Oh! I’m sorry that it came across that way, there’s no way I meant that about her, however i understand your perspective  on how it seems like it could shave been about her considering she has a famous father” etc. then explained the story above.
 

3. Don’t EVER attack someone for not “being talented” or in my case “riding the coat tails of my dude” - are you fucking kidding me? Everyone has talent - i’m sorry your world is so small you only see a little bit of talent in a world FULL of it. You may not like what I do, and you can tell me that - but you sound arrogant and your point becomes invalid when you attack me numerous times … when trying to prove a point.
 

I don’t need to make my speech about me and my dudes professional relationship with each other - i’ve already beat that horse dead. he’s in a successful band that is relevant to YOU. I am in a successful band that is relevant to ME. How is an INDIE band riding on the coattails of a METAL band? good one - can i please have another?

 

TO EACH THEIR OWN - with either argument, you’re still anonymously sitting behind your computer using whatever time you have on this earth to make it shitty for other people for doing what they believe in (as well as having nothing to show for yourselves) - who’s the SAD one now?

 

Get some tact.

 

If you can’t grow the fuck up maybe you’re too young to be on the internet. Leave me the fuck out of your assumptions until you know exactly whats up. It makes you look like a fool ANON. Grow some balls while you’re at it and if you have something to say - BE DIRECT. The passive aggressiveness of the youth of today is terrifying for our tomorrow. 

Again - it’s not about “ignoring the haters” … it’s about making sure nobody else felt I would be that devious about someone I know and have no problems with. I hope this clears it for you. Follow suit.
